Anna Robertson

Founder / Executive Producer

Anna Robertson is a San Francisco-based producer, writer, and filmmaker. With over a decade of experience in production, Anna has worked on Hollywood films such as Bumblebee, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Venom and produced shoots for clients like NBC Sports, Wells Fargo, and GQ.

Driven by her lifelong passion for horror films, Anna established Step One Films in 2020 to focus on developing unique genre stories from distinct perspectives. The company garnered attention with its award-winning short film Feng Shui (dir. Kamran Rathod), which debuted on Omeleto after a successful festival run that included screenings at the San Diego International Film Festival, Panic Fest, and the Bushwick Film Festival. Following the success of another award-winning short film, The Snow Leopard (dir. Taylor Joshua Rankin), Step One Films is preparing to shoot its first feature film, Jordan Just Needs to Relax, in 2025.

A Bay Area native and former professional acrobat and aerialist, Anna’s eclectic artistic background fuels her passion for entertaining and delighting audiences through both commercial and narrative projects.

Through her work, Anna continues to champion underrepresented voices in the film industry, striving to create impactful narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
